This policy explains how J-Esprisoft Inc. (“we”) handles information when you use the NoteLink Android application, the NoteLink pages on jesprisoft.com, or contact support. NoteLink is currently an internal beta.
1. Your notes and files
Your note content and attachments are user files. NoteLink reads and writes the vault you select so it can provide editing, search, linking, attachment, offline-cache, synchronization, and recovery features. You may use a local vault. If you choose Google Drive streaming, NoteLink accesses Drive to operate the selected NoteLink vault.
NoteLink currently requests the Google Drive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. This is a restricted scope that can permit access to files in your Google Drive; it is broader than app-folder-only access. NoteLink uses that access to provide the Drive features you request.
2. Information stored on your device
NoteLink may store cached note files and attachments, search or index data, app preferences, authentication-related settings, and durable pending-write or recovery records on your device. These records support offline use, retries, and recovery after interrupted or rejected writes.
In the current Android beta, backup and device-transfer rules exclude replayable write-journal state, Drive cache, disposable database data, and sensitive preferences. Device and Android behavior can still depend on your operating-system settings.
3. Diagnostics and support
Note content, filenames, paths, Drive file IDs, OAuth tokens, and search queries are not intended to be included in diagnostics by default. When you email support, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Please do not send note contents, credentials, OAuth tokens, Drive IDs, or full recovery exports unless we explicitly arrange a secure follow-up.
4. Website and service providers
The NoteLink website does not currently include a product analytics or advertising tracker. Like most hosted websites, the web server and infrastructure providers may process routine request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information, and security or error logs. The site may use essential session and security cookies.
If you connect Google Drive, Google processes authentication and Drive activity under your Google account and Google’s policies. Android and Google services may also process device, installation, security, or service information under their own terms.
5. Sale, advertising, and tracking
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your NoteLink note content for advertising, and the current NoteLink website does not use cross-site advertising trackers.
6. Retention and deletion
- On-device data: remains until removed through app or Android controls, subject to recovery records needed to protect pending work.
- Google Drive files: remain under your Google account until you delete them using Google Drive. Revoking NoteLink’s access does not delete those files.
- Support communications: may be retained as needed to answer requests, maintain support history, protect users, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion.
- Website logs: may be retained for reasonable operational, security, and troubleshooting periods according to the hosting configuration.
See our data deletion and Drive disconnection instructions for separate steps for each data location.
7. Security and beta limitations
We use reasonable safeguards, but no device, network, or cloud service is completely secure. NoteLink does not claim end-to-end encryption or atomic, conflict-free multi-device synchronization. Keep independent backups of important files while using the beta.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as NoteLink changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
